Made to the exact same recipe as our famous Jack’s Cider, it delivers the same honest apple flavour and easy-drinking balance that cider lovers know and love.
 
Crafted Like Real Cider – Because It Is
We start Jack’s Zero exactly as we do Jack’s Cider: with a carefully selected blend of Somerset apples, pressed and fermented to develop a rounded, medium cider profile. Only once the cider is fully developed do we remove the alcohol, so you get the true depth, body and flavour of a traditional cider, not a sugary soft drink.
 
How We Remove the Alcohol
To create Jack’s Zero, we use a unique vacuum de-alcoholisation process in our facility. Under reduced pressure, alcohol can be removed at much lower temperatures than normal boiling, which means we can gently separate the alcohol without “cooking” the cider or stripping away its character.
 
This careful process allows us to:
Preserve the body and mouthfeel of the original cider
Retain the fresh apple aroma and flavour
Maintain a clean, balanced finish without harshness or sweetness
 
The result is a medium cider that tastes like cider should – bright, appley and satisfying – just at 0.5% ABV.
 
Why 0.5% Is Still Alcohol Free
Jack’s Zero contains 0.5% ABV, a trace amount that helps keep the body, structure and flavour of the cider intact, without any of the effects of alcohol.
 
In Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries, 0.5% is classified as alcohol-free – it’s the globally recognised standard for alcohol free beer and cider. Even after 10 pints at 0.5%, it’s impossible for this amount of alcohol to raise your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content).
 
Trace levels of alcohol at or above 0.5% are also naturally present in many everyday foods and drinks, including:
Over-ripe bananas
A slice of rye bread
A glass of orange juice
Even a standard burger bun
